About the Performance
On the weekend of May 30–31, Uppsala Dance Academy takes over UKK’s stages with over 950 students. Across five different performances, the audience will experience dance interpretations of this year’s theme – “Home.” Will it be a dance about homesickness, about a summer cottage, about not quite knowing where home is, or about a staircase, a kitchen, and the life that unfolds at home? Perhaps we will follow memories of growing up, childhood, and places that have shaped us. Yes, the theme is open to interpretation – and it remains to be seen. Welcome to our website!

Uppsala Dansakademi has been a well-established dance school in Uppsala since 1984. The school is run as a non-profit organization with an elected board, employed administrative staff, approx. 15 dance teachers and over 1400 students as members. Uppsala Dansakademi stands for high quality and has only trained teachers. Uppsala Dansakademi offers both independent courses and line programs for those students who want to invest in dance. The performance is in collaboration with Länsförsäkringar, Uppsala Kommun, Aktiv Ungdom and Folkuniversitetet. Please also note that there may be loud noise in the performances.
