About the Performance

Life goes up and down. We have moments when we feel quite happy, maybe even on top, almost unbeatable. And then we have moments when things feel like crap. That’s life. But sometimes there’s too much of a bad thing all at once. It can get so bad that we find it hard to believe that things will ever get better or that we won’t be able to cope. In such cases, we may need help to find ways forward to get life back on track.

Welcome to an evening that gives hope when life feels heavy. The main speaker is actor Daniel Larsson, who will talk about his own experiences of being at the bottom and then managing to get up. You will also find out what help is available from healthcare, the municipality and non-profit organizations. Outside the lecture room, representatives from these organizations can provide more information and answer questions. You can also watch the lecture digitally.

About Daniel Larsson

Daniel Larsson is a well-known actor who has appeared in the TV series The Shipping Company, Different Worlds, Innocently Convicted, Inspector Winter and in the Johan Falk films. In the midst of his active acting career and as a new parent, Daniel Larsson’s life was turned upside down. The stress and demands of life triggered a bipolar disorder type 1, resulting in compulsory hospitalization and suicide attempts, and Daniel eventually lost his job, friends, family and home. His finances suffered. A four-year nightmare followed.

Today, the disease is stable and manageable again, and Daniel has rebuilt his life. He now gives lectures where he talks about his poignant journey. He engages audiences with both seriousness and humor, and conveys that it is possible to come out the other side.
