About the Performance
Marilyn Monroe’s 100th anniversary is celebrated with Karin Grönberg’s new performance at Uppsala Concert & Congress.
She is born as Norma Jeane. She dies as Marilyn Monroe. Her greatest dream is to become a good actress, but the male-dominated world she lives in turns her into a sex symbol. Marilyn Monroe is celebrated, admired, and loved, but behind the glamorous Marilyn hides a lonely and unloved Norma.
Singer and actress Karin Grönberg has previously portrayed legendary figures Edith Piaf and Judy Garland, but to celebrate Marilyn Monroe’s 100th anniversary, she takes on the icon for the first time, welcoming us to her performance MARILYN.
