Anders Ekborg needs no introduction to most people in Sweden. After achieving success in historic musical productions such as Kristina från Duvemåla, Chess på svenska and Så som i himmelen and a number of film and TV roles (not least in Tomten är far till alla barnen), he is known to most of us. But that he has also performed close to 1,000 concerts as a solo vocalist in Sweden and abroad over more than 30 years may not be known to everyone.

With a voice that creeps into the innermost corners of the soul and a presence that enchants, Anders Ekborg is not just a singer and actor, but a conveyor of all of Christmas’s wonderful emotions.

In November and December, Anders Ekborg once again embarks on a nationwide tour with this year’s edition of A Quiet Christmas, which has become a celebrated tradition for so many.

This year’s tour, which begins with its premiere in Sundsvall on November 19 and extends across 25 locations, focuses on the intimate encounter between Anders and his fellow musicians’ meeting with the audience. This year they consist of a trio on stage with longtime colleague and partner Bengt Magnusson on guitar and the talented Gustaf Henriksson on keyboards. They promise to take the audience on an unforgettable journey through Christmas’s most iconic songs and personal stories.

But A Quiet Christmas is more than just a concert. It is a heartfelt tribute to Christmas’s message of love, fellowship, and hope. With a charisma that radiates on stage and a love for his audience, Anders Ekborg continues to carry forward a cherished tradition that touches and enchants generation after generation.
