Accessibility Statement
The text below describes the accessibility of the website ukk.se and is published by Uppsala Concert & Congress.
Our Goal
We strive to make our website usable by as many people as possible. This statement describes how well the website complies with the Digital Public Service Accessibility Act (DOS Act), what deficiencies exist, and how you can report any issues.
Status
The website is partially compliant with level AA of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.1.
This means that while large parts of the website function according to standards, certain areas need improvement. Work to enhance accessibility is ongoing.
Awareness
We are aware of the following deficiencies in the current version of the website:
- Buttons partially have insufficient color contrast.
- Images partially lack alternative text.
- Text overlays on images may reduce readability in specific sections.
- Some functionality is currently not accessible via tab navigation or cannot be activated using a keyboard.
Equivalent navigation and information can be accessed through the main menu, which is visible and accessible on all pages. While this reduces the practical impact for some users, it does not replace the requirement for all content to be accessible.
Measures
Work is in progress to address the above deficiencies.
This includes improved contrast, updated components, structural improvements, and technical and editorial quality assurance.
Testing
The website has been reviewed internally by Uppsala Concert & Congress and externally by Spektra Design during November 2025.
The review included:
- Automatic testing with Wave and Chrome Lighthouse
- Manual checking of heading levels, links, and interactive elements
- Review of alternative texts
- Screen reader testing on selected pages
This statement was last updated on November 20, 2025.
