Accessibility
At UKK, everyone is welcome, regardless of their circumstances. Here, we have gathered information about accessibility that may be important for you as an organizer.
Accessible to All
Särskilt anpassade platser
Main Hall
The Main Hall has space for four wheelchairs on the side, upper stalls. Accompanying persons/assistants sit in a seat next to them. The entrance to the Main Hall is on floor 6, which is accessible by elevator and escalator. Please note that many seats in the Main Hall are only accessible via steps. Visitors with impaired vision, difficulty climbing stairs, or using a walker can receive assistance with seating in the hall.
Hall B
Hall B has spaces for four wheelchairs. Accompanying persons/assistants sit on a chair next to them. The entrance to Hall B is on floor 3, which is accessible by lift and escalator.
Service and assistance dogs that are working and wearing a service vest are welcome to UKK. Dogs that are not working may pass through UKK on the ground floor and may thus be taken to the reception and ticket office, but pets are not allowed in other areas such as the restaurant or halls.
Hörslinga och förstärkare
Hearing loops are available in the Main Hall, on the tiered seating in Hall B, in Hall C and in conference rooms K1-K6.
In the Main Hall, Hall B and, if necessary, in Hall D, guests with hearing impairments have the opportunity to use an amplifier (provided that the sound to be amplified is played through the halls’ speakers). The amplifier works in all seats in the halls and can be borrowed from the box office.
The amplifier is available in limited numbers. It is worn around the neck, and guests with hearing aids set it to the T-position (as with a telecoil). The amplifier can also be used with headphones that use a 3.5 mm cord (headphones are not available for loan and need to be brought by the guest).
When borrowing, the amplifier is signed out at the box office, which receives the visitor’s personal data. The guest returns the amplifier to the audience hosts after the event and is liable for replacement if the amplifier is not returned.
Parkering
For visitors with disabilities who have a special parking permit, parking is available outside Uppsala Concert & Congress towards Storgatan for up to four hours.
Taxitelefon
A free taxi telephone is available in the entrance by the entrance from Vaksala torg
Entrédörrar
Sliding doors that open automatically are available at the entrances
Hiss och rulltrappor
There is an elevator to all floors, which are announced with a recorded voice. Without an access card, you can use the elevator between floors 1, 2, 3, and 6. There is no elevator to the balcony sections of the Main Hall. People who have difficulty climbing stairs should therefore choose a seat in the stalls.
Escalators are available between floors 2 (entrance floor) and 3, and between floors 3 and 6.
Rullstol
Uppsala Concert & Congress has a wheelchair that we lend out. Visitors in need of a wheelchair can contact the ticket office to book the wheelchair during the visit.
Handsändare för dörröppning
Handheld transmitters for automatic door opening of conference rooms on floor 3 are available in the conference reception on floor 3.
Toaletter
RWC-adapted toilets, with wider doors, are available on floors 1-6. On the entrance floor, the RWC is located at the entrance from Vaksala torg.
