Accessibility
We are constantly working to make your visit with us a better and better experience. Do you have any comments or requests? We want to hear what you think!
Specially adapted seats
To book specially adapted seats, please contact the box office on 018-727 90 00. We always have a number of free seats for accompanying persons/assistants, these are booked via the reception on a first-come, first-served basis.
Main Hall
The Main Hall has spaces for four wheelchairs on the side upper stalls. Accompanying persons/assistants sit in a seat next to them. The entrance to the Main Hall is on floor 6, which is accessible by lift and escalator.
Please note that many seats in the Main Hall are only accessible via steps. If you have impaired vision, have difficulty walking stairs or use a walker, you can get help with a placement in the hall that suits you – contact the box office for seating suggestions and help with booking.
Hall B
Hall B has spaces for four wheelchairs. Accompanying persons/assistants sit on a chair next to them. The entrance to Hall B is on floor 3, which is accessible by lift and escalator.
Hearing Loops and Amplifiers
Hearing loops are available in the Main Hall, on the tiered seating in Hall B, in Hall C and in conference rooms K1-K6.
In the Main Hall, Hall B and, if necessary, in Hall D, guests with hearing impairments have the opportunity to use an amplifier (provided that the sound to be amplified is played through the halls’ speakers). The amplifier works in all seats in the halls and can be borrowed from the box office.
The amplifier is available in limited quantities. It is worn around the neck, and guests with hearing aids set them to T-mode (as with a hearing loop). The amplifier can also be used with headphones that use a 3.5 mm cable (headphones are not available for loan and must be brought by the guest).
When borrowing, the amplifier is signed out at the box office, which receives the visitor’s personal data. The guest returns the amplifier to the audience hosts after the event and is liable for replacement if the amplifier is not returned.
Audience Hosts
At each performance, audience hosts are on duty to answer your questions and are responsible for safety during the concert. An audience host is present at each entrance to the hall.
Parking
For visitors with disabilities who have a special parking permit, parking is available outside Uppsala Concert & Congress towards Storgatan for up to four hours.
Taxi phone
A free taxi phone is available in the entrance at the entrance from Vaksala torg.
Entrance doors
There are sliding doors at the entrances that open automatically.
Lift and escalators
There is a lift to the concert halls, foyers and conference rooms. The floors are announced with a recorded voice. Without a pass, you can use the lift between floors 1, 2, 3 and 6.
There is no lift to floor 7, i.e. to the balcony sections of the Main Hall. People who have difficulty walking stairs should therefore choose a seat in the stalls.
Escalators are available between levels 2 (entrance level) and 3, and between levels 3 and 6.
Wheelchair
Uppsala Concert & Congress has a wheelchair that we lend out. Contact the box office to book the wheelchair during your visit.
Handheld transmitter for door opening
Handheld transmitters for automatic door opening of conference rooms on floor 3 are available in the conference reception on floor 3.
Toilets
RWC toilets with wider doors are available on floors 1-6. On the entrance floor, the RWC is located at the entrance from Vaksala torg.
Dog at UKK
Service and assistance dogs that are working and wearing a service blanket are welcome to UKK. You then book your tickets via the box office to get an adapted seat.
Dogs that are not working are allowed to pass through UKK on the ground floor and can thus be taken to the reception and box office, but in other areas such as the restaurant or halls, pets are not allowed.
